In the spirit of community, we know there are many of you who are thinking about how you can reach out and help those who need it most. Below you will see a list of a few worthwhile organizations working diligently to support our San Diego Community.

San Diego COVID-19 Community Response Fund at The San Diego Foundation

The San Diego COVID-19 Community Response Fund is rapidly deploying resources to nonprofit organizations that are supporting local workers and families most affected by the Coronavirus Crisis.

San Diego For Every Child

Families continuing to work in essential service fields and those struggling to make ends meet can now apply for funds to help cover the cost of child care and basic needs. These essential workers are the first-responders and front-line staff in this crisis and rely on courageous child care providers so they can continue to work.

United Way of San Diego

As part of the greater San Diego COVID-19 Community Response Fund, the United Way of San Diego has created a San Diego Worker Assistance Initiative which provides flexible resources to individuals impacted by layoffs and reduced working hours implemented by employers.

Feeding San Diego

Feeding San Diego is working diligently to meet the rapidly increasing need for food assistance throughout the community. The focus is to provide access to nutrition for children and families during devastating school and business closures, wage loss, and economic uncertainty.

San Diego Food Bank

The San Diego Food Bank continues to operate 200 food distribution centers across the county, with health guidelines and precautions in place. To help the Food Bank, you can donate online, or you can partake in a "Virtual Food Drive" in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. You can also call (866)350-3663.

Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Diego provides a “home-away-from- home” for families and the care that’s needed when their child is being treated for serious conditions at local hospitals.
