San Diego COVID-19 Community Response Fund at The San Diego Foundation

The San Diego COVID-19 Community Response Fund is rapidly deploying resources to nonprofit organizations that are supporting local workers and families most affected by the Coronavirus Crisis. Support this worthwhile organization which in turn helps other non-profits and needs your donations during these especially difficult times.

San Diego For Every Child

Families continuing to work in essential service fields and those struggling to make ends meet can now apply for funds to help cover the cost of child care and basic needs. These essential workers are the first-responders and front-line staff in this crisis and rely on courageous child care providers so they can continue to work. Your donation will help ensure local children have access to food assistance, childcare, and remote learning opportunities during these unprecedented times.

United Way of San Diego

As part of the greater San Diego COVID-19 Community Response Fund, the United Way of San Diego has created a San Diego Worker Assistance Initiative which provides flexible resources to individuals impacted by layoffs and reduced working hours implemented by employers. The Fund supports low- wage workers who need support for a limited but undetermined length of time. The money goes toward utilities and rent/mortgage payments.
Feeding San Diego

Feeding San Diego is working diligently to meet the rapidly increasing need for food assistance throughout the community. The focus is to provide access to nutrition for children and families during devastating school and business closures, wage loss, and economic uncertainty.
Every $1 donated helps provide 4 meals.
San Diego Food Bank

The Food Bank provides food assistance and resources to 350,000 people every month and plans to continue its good work in the times of the Coronavirus Crisis. The San Diego Food Bank continues to operate 200 food distribution centers across the county, with health guidelines and precautions in place. To help the Food Bank, you can donate online, or you can partake in a "Virtual Food Drive" in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. According to the San Diego Food Bank, every $1 that is donated can provide five meals to San Diegans in need.

The Ronald McDonald House Charities

Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Diego provides a “home-away-from- home” for families and the care that’s needed when their child is being treated for serious conditions at local hospitals. RMHC San Diego relies on donations like food items and cleaning products.
